The Light Rail Manila Corporation announced on August 9 that it will suspend it's weekend commercial operations on all stations to allow for the alignment of the existing signalling system with the Cavite extension.
The following is the dates on when LRT-1 will be closed: -August 17-18 -August 24-25 -August 31- September 1

The LRT Cavite extension, set to open on the fourth financial quarter of 2024 aims to add five new stations from Redemptorist-Aseana Station to Dr. Santos.
